No. Transtech Merchant Group is not a scam - neither is Summit Processing, neither is Certified Payment Processing or any of the other bunch of names the company does business under. It is a credit card processing company and the purpose of the company is to sell merchant processing services (credit/debit rates, equipment leases, point of sale systems, ATM machines, electronic check readers, gift cards, etc.) to small and medium sized businesses who use such services. Any business owner who is entering into a contract should understand the terms of the contract, the lease terms, the rates, etc. before signing and agreeing to anything. This applies to ANY contract.

As for the sales representatives that work for Transtech and the above mentioned companies, you are provided leads to call on and hopefully close for deals. The problem most people have is that they aren't sales professionals and don't know how to RE-CLOSE an appointment when the appointment lies to you and says they never had a meeting with you, and they don't know how to make a premium presentation and CLOSE a deal in the first place. It is not just as easy as walking into a business and getting a signature on a contract. You actually have to SELL. Most of the complaints you see about Transtech from people who "used to work for them" - 2 days or less isn't working for a company - are from people who have the expectation that the sales are already set up for them and they can just walk in and BAM! Money. NO CREDIT CARD PROCESSOR WHO PROVIDES LEADS DOES THAT. If the merchant says they don't want to meet with you, prove to them that it's worth their time. Learn how to take rejection - you hear a lot more nos than yeses. If you are a true sales professional - this opportunity is for you.
