Alprazolam is an positive allosteric modulater of GABAA on the Benzodiazipine site. This means it enhancers the effects of GABA reducing anxiety and causing sedation as those are the sites(outta 5) that it effects the most.
Xanax in an agonist at GABA receptors in the brain. Essentially Xanax (like other benzos) will bind to the GABA receptor at a specific benzodiazepine binding site and this will increase the affinity of the GABA receptor to GABA. GABA will no bind more readilly and the GABA receptor will activate more frequently because of this.
The GABA receptor itself though is inhibitory so it slows down neuronal firing.
Agonist is muscarine and antagonist is atropine.
Agonist
Antagonist: lats Agonist: Abdominals
Antagonist
agonist : trapizius antagonist: latissimus dorsi
The Buprenorphine opioid is classified as a partial agonist antagonist.

agonist- Facilitstes synthesis
Drugs can act as agonist or antagonist to regulate a process or function of cellular/chemical process.
Agonist - Pectoralis Major, Triceps Brachii Antagonist - Bicep Brachii, Latissimus Dorsi
Morphine
An agonist stimulates the receptor, whereas an antagonist blocks a receptor.
