The basics of bicycle sizing is that when you straddle the frame(Not the saddle!) you should have some clearance between the top tube and your crotch. When you're in the saddle, with the ball of your foot on the pedal, then you should have a small amount of bend in your knee with the pedal in its lowest position.
Then there are the niceties like crank arm length, and reach between saddle and bar, etc etc. Run a netsearch on "bicycle sizing" and you'll find some more detailed pointers.
Keep in mind that if you're looking at bikes which generally aren't ridden seated, like BMXes and DH MTBs, these fitting basics don't work particlularly well any more.
By hitting the ball over the boundary without the ball touching the ground before hand. If the ball touches the ground before the boundary but goes over it, it scores four.
Each run is one point. A ball reaching the boundary, but touching the ground on the way, scores four points. If the ball reaches past the boundary, without touching the ground, it scores six points.
In the first days of football when a ball carrier crossed the goal line he would touch the ball to the ground. The touching of the ball to the ground for the score was called a "TOUCHDOWN". This rule still applies in rugby, where a player doesn't score unless he touches the ball to the ground.
Place the stick near to or touching the ball, then extend the arms and stick so that the ball travels smoothly along the ground in the direction you want it to.
Grounding the club means actually touching the club to the ground when the ball is in a hazard. The club cannot touch the ground until you make you swing.
If a batted ball hits the ground before both (1) leaving the infield and (2) a fielder has a chance of catching it, that is (generally) considered a ground ball. If it leaves the infield without touching the ground or a fielder has a chance of catching it, that is considered a fly ball. A ball that does not much of an arc to its motion is often called a "line drive" instead of a "fly ball."

To hit a six, the batsman must hit the cricket ball over the boundry rope without the ball touching the ground.
In the event of a thunderstorm you want to be as low to the ground without touching to much of the ground. For example the best way is to crouch down into a ball on your toes.
Yes. there are no "crossing the plane" rules in basketball. Its always about where your feet are touching the ground or where they were last touching the ground.
Yes. They would be out. Think of it like this. If a runner is running home from third and the catcher slides onto the plate with the ball, the runner is still out, even though the catcher is on the ground. As long as the Defensive player has possession of the ball, and is touching the base, the offensive player would be considered out.
Yes. For field goals and extra points in ncaa and lower, this is the only time a player can have possession of the ball with a knee touching the ground and be allowed to run/throw the ball.
