Is an Australian 15 months Masters Degree as recognized as the two years Indian requirement?

Traditionally all British & Australian Universities have been offering one year taught Masters programmes which is recognized worldwide. What is important is that the same level of content is covered as in the two year qualification. In fact we claim that the ECU MBA is a more rigorous programme than its Indian equivalent. You will learn to work more independently and to think more logically and laterally than you would do with a standard Indian MBA.

What would your initials be if you had a master's degree?

The initials after your name on gaining a qualification are more correctly known as post-nominals or post-nominal letters. The specific post-nominal depends on the degree. For example, if it is a masters in science it would be M.S. (US) and M.Sc / MSc (UK, Europe and commonwealth countries). If it is a masters of arts, it would be an M. A. (or MA in the UK). However, there are many more possibilities depending on the degree and speciality, including the MPhil (Master of Philosophy) and MRes (Master of Research) qualifications which are based around an original research topic as opposed to a taught masters degree program and usually take 2 years as opposed to the 1 year taught courses. Also in British universities it is common to be able to study an undergraduate science or engineering specific subject for 4 years (instead of the normal 3) and gain a masters (hons) degree (which has the same criteria for qualification as other post graduate masters degrees, but is studied without the award of a bachelors degree and as such counts as a first degree and therefore not as a postgraduate qualification). E.g. MPhys, MGeol, MChem or MEng (Master of Physics, Geology, Chemistry and Engineering respectively) amongst others... For a more exhaustive list of (British) academic post-nominals please see the related links.

Is an online Business Degree as well taught as going to a University or Community College?

There can be no comparison between an online degree and a degree earned in an actual classroom. They are both equivalent in their status but learning directly from a teacher is always better.

Does a masters degree through correspondence and then a PhD qualifies you to become a university professor?

Yes, as long as you completed the degree through an appropriately accredited college or university. Within the US the minimum educational requirement for a college professor is a master's degree in the subject area being taught with a doctorate preferred.

What is the difference between a graduate degree and a masters degree?

The term undergraduate degree is generally used for completing a 4 year Bachelors of Science or Arts program. A Masters degree is achieved after completing a, generally 2 year, additional program past that and can be called a graduate degree. Generally, these are a Master of Science or Arts. (So all Masters are a graduate degree, but not all graduate degrees are a Masters. Some fields may use a different nomencalture for the post baccurlate programs). A Doctorate, which takes approx. 7 years more, identifes someone completing a program generally including writing/supporting a thesis/disertation ( a large research paper of intellectual interest) above those other degrees.
