They are suppose to be equivalent. However, as far as difficulty, it will depend on your thirst for knowledge particular to the course content, and how well the instructor presents the information.

Not important at all, in most cases. AP is an extremely minor factor in college admissions, overshadowed by SATs and overall grades (and usually easier non-AP classes equal better overall grades) and other factors. In the job market nobody really cares what classes you took, only whether you graduated and where from.

It depends on the person and how llong they have been doing AP classes. For ex. if this is the first time you've done AP classes then yes it would be hard, but if you have been doing AP classes for a while now then no it won't be hard

It depends on you and how hard you r gonna work. AP Biology for me is not that easy, to get a good score in it, u should work really hard. I think it is the most difficult AP class because it has a lot of memorizing. It has a looooot of vocabulary. I can say that i study each sentence in the book and my score is not perfect. ( I have 98 in it) Even if you know all material, its hard to answer all tricky questions. I m also taking AP Calculus and its really hard too. It has a lot of formulas to memorize and u have to practice them all the time. If you want to success taking AP classes, you have to be prepared to study a lot. It is up to you.

AP classes are designed to be much more rigorous than honors classes. The purpose of Advance Placement classes is to give students a glimpse of what a college course will be like. While honors classes are meant to only be slightly more in depth than a remedial class.

Yes, colleges and universities see them as equivalent if the student passes the AP with the required score. Many colleges and universities will apply AP courses toward the students degree.

What college gives you credit for Pre-AP courses?

Colleges only award credit to Advanced Placement courses (AP). Pre-AP is generally considered equivalent to "honors" courses. Some high schools may add points to one's GPA but it will probably not get you credit for college. Pre-AP is preparation to take a real AP course. Though you will not get college credit, it would still help you if you took a Pre-AP or honors class. It would help accustom you to the harder work that you will face in college.

Is it better to take advanced placement courses or regular courses for High school GPA and college entrance?

Although AP courses are harder and may lower your GPA, many college admissions offices look carefully to see if you took the rigorous courses available at your school. Lower grades in higher level classes, as long as you are still performing reasonably well, are preferred over straight A's in easy classes. AP classes will also better prepare you for the rigor of college level work.
