A fitted carpet means that the carpet covers the whole of the floor area. An underlay may be laid first and the carpet laid on top. The carpet is not attached to the floor.
Carpet does a lot of different things. It is cheaper than most other floor surfaces, it is comfortable to use and walk on and it actually improves our air quality. That is why it is so popular. It's about attraction, warmth and insulation. Though, it's also how well the carpet is fitted that determines its full advantages.
We decided to do a carpet design in the playroom using carpet squares. What is the best way to install carpet squares on a cement floor?
Carpet is sometimes nailed to the floor.
Because the carpet is an insulator while the floor kind of isn't. A carpet traps the air particles much better than the floor. So it's that.

Because of the friction in the carpet fibers.
Carpet kickers, or knee kickers, are used to install a fitted carpet. They help to install the carpet more tightly and flat than would be possible otherwise.
The carpet area is the area of floor which is, or is to be, carpeted.
A washable floor covering is a rug. A rug is different from a carpet because carpet can't be washed in a machine.
coz the carpet floor is softer..which doesnt make noise compared to tile! :)
You don't put padding directly on a concrete floor. You have to frame out the floor, lay plywood sheets over the frame, probably want a vapor barrier as well. Then you can lay any pad and carpet you want. There are certain types of carpet that come with an attached foam padding that are designed to lay over concrete. If you think you want to just glue carpet directly to the concrete floor, check the mfg. warranty first. Most mfgs. will not honor their warranty unless they specifically state that it can be glued to concrete.
