No! guinea pigs should not live with any other rodent than other guinea pigs because they are not fight animals and they will not be able to even defend themselves. also they eat different foods then the other ones. for example if you kept you guinea pig with a rabbit (i know lots of people do and have happy little success stories about it THIS DOES MEAN THAT IT IS GOOD, rabbits can seriously injure your guinea pig with their strong hind legs) and if your guinea pig decides he likes the rabbit food better or the other way around or you just feed them the same kind from the beginning. this is not good because guinea pigs need vitamin C, which there is not enough of in rabbit, hamster, or mouse food. Without vitamin C, guinea pigs can get scurvy.
and with mice the same thing with the food plus the mice might be vicious and attack the guinea pig even if they are social with humans another animal is a different story. if this happened the guinea pig would not be able to defend it self and would get seriously injured or worse killed.

∙ 12y agoYes, they are closely related and get along fine. It would be best to have a degu cage nearby a guinea pig cage, but not have them all together. Degus have special dietary needs and cannot live on guinea pig food. Both guinea pigs and degus are social animals and need to have at least one other companion with them. Both are INDOOR pets and should be kept in a clean, warm, indoor environment.
I have raised guinea pigs since 1992, so i know what I'm talking about.
