The Red-winged Blackbird would be considered a consumer. It eats waste grains, corn, and rice. When they are in season, blue berries, blackberries, and many other fruits depending on what is available. They eat insects, especially when they are breeding. This includes whatever they can catch on the fly, and pick from plants. If given a choice the butterflies, dragonflies, flies, and moths are preferred, but they will take eggs, frogs, snails, and Spiders, along with worms.
