How much is a 1978 PAXMAI EKATON worth in us dollars
You almost certainly have something from Greece, but without at least a year and a decription of condition, it would be very difficult to put a value to.
Greek currency (Ekaton - Greece Drachmae) is no longer in circulation (converted to Euro).
Greek Ekaton is no longer widely in circulation. In many Western banks, it must be turned in and cannot be used. Seeing as the currency is no longer in effect, the latest effect I have is that of two years ago. At that point, 100 Ekaton could be exchanged for 46 cents, or $0.46. In answer to your question, 1 Ekaton is worth between 4 and 5 cents ($0.046).
That is pre-Euro Greek currency and is no longer in circulation.
What you're reading as "paxmai" is actually "drachma" spelled in the Greek alphabet, which has different symbols than the alphabet used in English and most other Western languages. Greece has not used drachmae as its currency since 2002 when they switched to euros, so any drachma currency you have from that country is obsolete. A few large banks in the EU still accept old currency in exchange for euros but unless you have a huge amount it would cost more to convert it than you'd get in return.
