FRAME STRUCTURES
Frame structures are structures that are made up of rigid (stiff, firm, difficult to bend) parts joined together to form something called a framework. These parts are known as members. There are lots of examples of frame structures such as a bridge - a bridge is a frame structure that spans a gap, and a bicycle is a frame structure that supports a load such as the mass of a person.
SHELL STRUCTURES
Shell structures contain or protect things from the outside and are usually hollow inside. In a shell structure, the outside layer of the structure holds the whole object together. Examples of shell structures are the mug that holds your coffee, the snail shell which both protects and contains the snail, honeycomb which contains and protects bee's honey and shells of nuts.
its a frame, why?well a tree alone is a frame and a branches alone are mass structure
no
mass
A basketball is not a mass structure because it is not made up of piled up materials. For instance, a brick wall is a mass structure. A basketball is actually a shell structure.
An acorn is the nut of the oak tree, or the oak nut. Inside the tough shell of the acorn is usually only one seed and on rare occasions, two seeds.
The overall of an atom is a nucleus (protons and neutrons), and 1 or 2 electrons. The rest are for large atoms: an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons.
A pine is a conifer tree in the genus Pinus. They are also gymnosperms and do not produce flowers. Reproduction is by male and female cones on the same tree.
It is a shell structure so that it can hold stuff.
frame structure
It is a shell because the structure is with a hallow, curved shape
an igloo is a shell structure since it is not filled it is only a shell
Yes, a teacup is a shell structure. A shell structure is defined as a structure that keeps it shape and can support loads within it (as tea in a teacup).
It's a shell. And because it is hallow Inside. A shell structure is a Structure that is strong hollow And light in size.
This depends on the Definition of "Shell Structure" Most laypersons class a car as a shell structure. But for engineering purpose's?
A shell structure supports its self and a frame structure does not support it self.
solid structure
shell because it is hollow and therefore represents the form of a shell which is also recognized as a shell structure
Shell structure
From the standpoint of structure the opposite of a shell is what is inside the shell, or the interior. In biology, the opposite or reverse structure from a shell is a skeleton. (A shell being an exoskeleton.) On the other hand, the contrasting structure in animals that do not have shells could be the skin, an opposite or alternative type of exterior.
