A Ridge
If the force of gravity crushing a star in weren't balanced, it would collapse. The outward-pushing force counteracting gravity is the energy produced in nuclear fusion, when the heat and pressure inside of stars smashes atoms together.
A lenses that curve outward is convex.A lenses that curve inward is concave.
There are many ways in which one could improve one's outward appearance. One of the best ways of improving one's outward appearance would be to improve one's personal hygiene.

The opposite of a cyclone is an anticyclone. A cyclone is a low-pressure system with inward spiraling winds, while an anticyclone is a high-pressure system with outward spiraling winds.
It's not necessarily that the eye gets smaller as the cyclone gets bigger so much as the eye gets bigger when the cyclone gets stronger. There is no direct correlation between the size of a cyclone and its intensity. All cyclones are low pressure systems. The lower the pressure, the stronger the cyclone. The eye wall, which immediately surrounds the eye, marks the point where the inward force of the low pressure is balanced with the tendency for air to get flung outward by the rotation. A lower pressure means a stronger inward pull and thus a smaller eye.
A wind spiraling outward typically refers to the circulation pattern of air in a low-pressure system, such as a hurricane or a tornado. In these systems, air flows from the center outward in a rotating fashion, creating strong winds and sometimes severe weather conditions.
This description matches a high-pressure system, specifically an anticyclone. In an anticyclone, air descends and moves outward in a clockwise direction in the Northern Hemisphere and a counterclockwise direction in the Southern Hemisphere. This leads to generally clear skies and stable weather conditions.
outward pressure
bimbo kimbo definition of kimbo: with hands on hips and elbows extending outward
The pressure of a gas is the force of its outward push divided by the area over which the force is applied. This is known as the definition of pressure (P = F/A), where P is pressure, F is force, and A is area.
Inward!
A cyclone is a large tropical storm caused by winds rotating around an 'eye', or central area, of low atmospheric pressure. In a cyclone, rapid inward circulation of air masses about a low pressure centre. 'Cyclone' is the generic term for cyclones, hurricanes and typhoons. These tropical storms tend to be called 'cyclones' in the southern hemisphere, and they rotate in a clockwise direction. In the northern hemisphere, where cyclones occur in the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean, they are called hurricanes and those in the South China Sea and regions of Asia are called typhoons. Northern hemisphere cyclones rotate anti-clockwise, and are sometimes called anti-cyclones.
