The main character of his manga (comic), Naruto, used to be heavily infatuated with his female team mate, Sakura Haruno. However, mid way through the series all of Naruto's affection turned toward his male team 'mate' Sasuke Uchiha. After Sasuke ran from the village Naruto's obsession with him reached new heights. It has gotten to the point that Naruto has rejected Sakura's proclamation of love for him in favor of chasing after Sasuke.
Other evidence of his closeted personality is his blatant disregard for every single one of his female characters.Kishimoto has said in the past that girls used to bully him as a child and it is reflected in his work. This may very well be him saying that his childhood experiences made him hate all women. Because of this all of the female characters in the Naruto manga are given one small story arc before being relegated to background characters that stand around waiting for big oily muscled men to save them. Even the most powerful ninja in Naruto's village, a woman named Tsunade, appears weak and feeble when faced with a powerful man.
He's also unoriginal and blatantly plagiarizes his younger brother. F*cking moon my a*s.

Although he could be considered gay if you take into account that in Naruto Shippuden, he said that he is 'starting to like Naruto' and tried to feed him. He may have been joking but...
