Is being a teacher pet bad?

It is neither a totally good or bad thing to be a teacher's pet. It has it perks as well as its downsides.

For the perks:

• It gives a good impression to the teacher.
• It makes communication with the teachers easier.

For the downside:

• Most people don't like teacher's pets especially your peers and class fellows might be irritated by the fact that you are being super-close to your teacher.
• Your classfellows might suspect that you may talk about them to their teacher just to get the position of a teacher's confidante so they might avoid you.

So it's not entirely good or bad. keep a cordial relationship with all your teachers , Don't get too close to your teacher or this might alienate your class fellows and friends. even some teachers find it very superficial.
