Ciara is NOT a hermaphrodite. The rumor of her being a man and having a sex change started back in early 2006-2007 when her new album: Ciara- The Evolution came out and she did the video "Like A Boy."

IT also started because Ciara during the time span which she came out; starting in 2003 until now had gotten a little taller.. She now stands at 5'9" tall and also because she likes to work out and keep her athletic shape.
