Yes, very much so!!! Its known as an illegal drug; that should tell you right there that it can't be good for you.

Use of cocaine without a prescription results in you being thrown into jail. Jail is bad.

cocaine is a schedule 1 drug, meaning there is no prescribing it to people anymore, back in the early 1900's it was prescribed, along with heroin, but not anymore.

Of all the drugs in the world, cocaine is the only one that -- in my opinion -- can really be called an evil drug. Heroin is almost as bad, but the thing about heroin is, it makes people sleepy and dopey. Cocaine makes people hyper, and also selfish, cruel, uncaring, and sometimes violent. Sure, people rob, steal, and kill for heroin, just the same as they do for cocaine. But the fact that heroin is a depressant -- the fact that it slows you down and makes you dopey and sleepy -- makes it very different from cocaine.

Cocaine is a stimulant. It works by blocking the brain's natural dopamine recycling system. Dopamine is the chemical that is responsible for producing feelings of pleasure. By blocking the brain's dopamine recycling process, an excess of dopamine accumulates in the brain, which produces a feeling of euphoria (extreme happiness). You just feel so wildly happy about everything, and so enthusiastic and eager to go out and do stuff, and you feel like you just love everybody and everything. The whole world and everything in it seems so great and perfect and beautiful. It also gives you tons of energy, and makes you extremely talkative.

Unfortunately, the effects of one line of cocaine only last about 20 minutes, and then you start craving more of it. And the more you take, the more you crave.

Taking too much of it causes you to become manic, with a very short attention span, so you'll start running around doing 20 different things at once. You start talking incessantly, but you don't have the attention span to listen to other people. It also causes you to clench your jaw, grind your teeth, and fidget excessively. It can also cause your nose to bleed, because it's a very harsh, abrasive substance.

People on cocaine can become extremely selfish and greedy once they start running out of cocaine. They want all the rest of the cocaine for themselves, and will lie, cheat, and steal to get it. It is quite common for people who've run out of cocaine to immediately go out and get more from their dealer, because once you've started doing it, the craving to do more is extremely irresistible.

Another reason it's so hard to stop doing cocaine, once you've started doing it, is the comedown. After about 20 to 30 minutes, the effects start to wear off, and horrible feelings of depression and anxiety set in. The more cocaine you've done, the worse the comedown will be when you stop. The feelings of hopelessness, despair, and sadness are unbearable; you feel almost suicidal, and these feelings last for a minimum of 12 to 24 hours.

Some people say you don't get a comedown the first time you do cocaine, but I certainly did. Even if you don't get a comedown the first time, don't be fooled into thinking cocaine isn't as addictive as people say. Even if you don't get a comedown the first time, you definitely will if you keep on doing it.

The fact that cocaine is a stimulant, as well as the horrible comedown you get afterwards, is what makes it so different -- and so much more evil -- than heroin. If you do a lot of heroin, you're going to fall asleep, and you won't start craving more until you wake up, hours later. But if you do a lot of cocaine, you're going to be wide awake for hours and hours -- days, even -- and 30 minutes after you run out of it, you're going to start craving more like mad. You'll do anything, anything, to get more cocaine. If you were on heroin, you wouldn't start craving more until you woke up sober and clear-headed. But if you're on coke, you're going to start craving more while you're still high on it. The irresistible craving, plus the loss of judgment and impulse control that comes with being high on cocaine, can be a deadly combination. You are wide awake, you're going to be wide awake for the next 24 hours, and you are craving cocaine like mad the whole time.

In other words, heroin may be equally addictive, but at least a heroin high is a peaceful high. A cocaine high is anything but peaceful -- it's hyper, manic, selfish, and cruel.

"Snorting" drugs can cause damage to tissues in the nose, affecting senses of smell and taste. Consistent "snorting" can also degrade the cartilage in the nose, leading to its complete disappearance.
