Having had both, I'd say definitely YES.
A There's no chance of your arm brushing the element as you remove food - I've done that.
B It's almost impossible to clean around the exposed element causing concern about food particle residue.
C In the event of over boil/eruptions there is no protective plate (which is so much easier to clean).
So, it's safer, more hygienic and more quickly and efficiently cleaned.
I'm looking to again get one with concealed element - last ordered online and that information not generally available.

Yes, microwave ovens use electromagnetic radiation.
Basically a microwave uses microwave radiation which is absorbed by the molecules of water and other substances within the food causing them to "shake" and heat up the food. An oven puts a heat source outside of the food and raises the temperature from the outside to the inside of that food. Ovens are quite hefty in size and are not as compact.Microwave uses dielectric heating, which causes the polarised molecules.Cooking time is greater in conventional ovens.Microwave ovens take the least amount of time to heat up food. It can also cook food under 5 minutes.
Some features of cheap microwave ovens are that they can cook things at very high temperatures and some newer microwave ovens even have a convection feaure on them.
