no because origanilly a Flute was made out of WOOD.......and also you use wind to play it so that is why a flute is NOT a brass instrument but a woodwind
The flute is actually a woodwind instrument despite it being made of silver/ other metals. To read more about it just read the external link.
The Flute is in the Woodwind section/family and the Trumpet is in the Brass section/family.

There are a few metal instruments. There are the brass instruments e.g. tuba, trumpet, French horn etc. There is also the flute, which is a common woodwind instrument. Hope this helped.

There are two families of wind instruments, woodwinds and brass. The flute is a member of the woodwind family though it's constructed of metal. The other woodwind family members are oboe, clarinet and bassoon (and their variants). The flute is the only member of the woodwind family that's played without a reed. The other wind instrument family is the "brass" family; trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba.
Yes! The flute is part of the woodwind instrument family. In the Renaissance Period, flutes actually had a small reed in them (much like an oboe reed). This is why they were originally classified as a woodwind instrument, and it has stuck since.Yes a flute is a woodwind, even if it is made of metal.
Rule of thumb: Brass instruments look like they're made of brass. Think Trumpet or trombone, the exception being saxophone, which is a woodwind instrument. An oboe is also a woodwind instrument.
The saxophone. While the instrument itself is commonly made of brass, the mechanics of it, as well as the use of a reed, make it a woodwind.
It's (generally) made Brass. Even the silver ones are mostly Brass with a thin plating on them. It can be described as being a "Brasswind", or just a "Wind instrument".
Well united kingdom like the guitar and so the national instrument for great Britain (united kingdom's) is anything brass so like a brass guitar a brass flute anything brass
The trombone is classified as: low brass, and or brass.
