Air or any sort of gas is not that good in conducting heat in relation to other materials, since foam consists of many bubbles with trapped gas it both stops convection by simply being in position, and prevents conduction of heat through it, due to the gas inside.
Yes, it is an insulator.
insulator :)
insulator
is foam dirt an metal a good insulator
No, foam insulation products acts as an insulator.
This depends on the type of foam. There have been made foam that actually conduct electricity. This is a choice made in the manufacturing of the foam. Most foam in mattresses and the like does not conduct electricity. Moisture however can change the mattresses conductivity drastically.
Insulator
stira foam is a better insulator because it will keep it warm
Styrofoam, along with most other expanded plastics, is a very poor insulator of heat and electricity, thereby making a foam coffee cup a very good insulator.
Styrofoam cup is a good insulator because it is coated with foam
paper or foam cups
The foam contains air, which is a poor conductor of heat.
Foam is made of material that a very low level of confuctivity
