It’s an exaggeration
Lashes with a Wet Noodle
When you cross the Atlantic Ocean with the Titanic you get very cold and wet.
the umbrella helped us in many ways including us to not get wet and to keep the sun off of us
A lot farther than you'd think. There is no simple answer to this, because of the following questions. Is the driver alert or using a mobile phone? Is the road wet, dusty, muddy, or icy? Is the road concrete or asphalt? What kind of tyres, are they inflated equally, are they inflated enough. Do the brakes work? Is the land flat? How many people are in the car? Is the fuel tank full?
You are going to be hard-pressed to find a metaphor for blanket since metaphors use a common object to symbolize a more complex concept. Blankets are fairly common objects so they usually become the symbol. You will find snow, metaphorically blanketing the ground and you will find a 'wet blanket' in attendance at most parties. You will find 'blanket rules' that have nothing to do with a bed and if you look hard enough, you will find a 'security blanket' that may not be made of cloth.
Wet sugar gets dissolved you tard!
it means that it is really heavy with all of the extra stuff
Moist air weighs less than dry air at the same temperature. This is because the density of diatomic Oxygen and Nitrogen is greater than water vapor (H2O).
If a sisal rug begins to bubble, the best thing to do is get it wet. That way, if the bubbling is minor, the sisal rug will shrink as it dries and the bubble should disappear.
wet
you would put a rug on a horse during cold, windy or wet weather or when the horse is sweaty/wet or being bothered by flies. you would put a stable rug on a stabled horse when it's cold, sweat rug on a wet/sweaty horse, a new zealand rug on a horse turned out at grass when it's wet/windy/cold and a summer/fly sheet on a horse being bothered by flies.
Yes and they are heavier still if they have a long fleece
The moisture from the clothing evaporates, taking surface heat with it and thereby cooling the skin.
The umbrella was as wet as a rainforest. Anything that exaggerates the reality of the description.
the water :)
I had this happen recently, I was told my the dealership that it's is designed to get "some" water in the back, however there are drains and if they get clogged like mine did the rug gets wet, now the rug smells awful, I'm going to try to get it shampooed if not, I have to get a new rug.
No, it will get wet and you'll track in mud and/or water
