I am working on a debate for school, and my group's topic is "Alternative sources of energy save energy and money." Through my research I have found that hydroelectricity is actually polluting because of the carbon residue on the bottom of the body of water getting kicked up by the turbines. Here is one of the sites that this information was received from http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1350150/posts
And its the shizit because i know and its awesome dude
It is useful for many things.........power homes mostly....
Hydroelectric power is good - relatively benign if proper fish protection measures are designed into the plant
The power to run early grain mills came from hydroelectric energy provided through water wheels.
Its not neccessarily a bad thing, but its not a good thing either. Using water for energy can ruin habitats by flooding and not letting water flow naturally. Its better than some sources of energy because it dreates no pollution, and water is a renewable resource. There are lots of arguments debating whether or not it's the best choice. What about you. Choose your argument, what side are you on?
One advantage of using hydroelectric energy is that it is a renewable source of energy. Other positive aspects include a guarantee in energy and price stability as well as its feasibility in utilizing other renewable sources.
The good about coal is that it is a source of energy while the bad is that it pollutes air.
coaled power, gas powered, wind turbines, nuclear energy, i believe are not examples of hydroelectric power
it dosent
hydroelectric energy is energy that comes from water
amount of hydroelectric energy is available
What city runs on Hydroelectric energy?
hydroelectric energy is found in the earth core
Positives include the fact that it is an enormous reserve of renewable energy; negatives are that it can seriously impact an environment, and is not the most stable of sources.
Since hydroelectric energy supplies electricity, any industry that uses electricity from a hydroelectric plant relies on this energy.
It isn't. It's good for the Earth because it produces electric power without dumping large amounts of waste carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Yes.But I think it's pretty expensive.
because it is in bc and it produces hydroelectric energy
hydroelectric energy is free to the fuel fossil
energy moves through hydroelectric energy because of all the heating and the movement of the whole source
