∙ 13y agoShort answer: no. But it could be worrisome if your normal blood pressure is 180/95, or if you've been feeling weak or dizzy. In general, I wouldn't go to the doctor for just that blood pressure.

∙ 13y agoMost of the time your doctor will want you to keep a log of your blood pressure at multiple times each day for several days to see if there is a trend of high blood pressure.
The bottom number, called diastolic blood pressure, is the pressure in the vessels when the heart is NOT pumping (when it's at rest). This pressure is supposedly the most damaging to vessels when it is high. A diastolic pressure over 90 starts to be called high. Yes, a trend of diastolic pressure over 100 should be evaluated by a doctor.
