Never a great idea but after consulting Grandmother's recipe, sugar cookies usually have mostly the same ingredients (but at different levels) as regular dog food.

The dog will probably get a sugar high (like kids) and be restless or hyper active. Depending on breed, size, and amount they ate, they'll also probably get diarrhea (sometimes explosive diarrhea).

Make sure they've plenty of fresh water for the next 24-48 hours and park 'em outside if you're equipped to do so. If not, take them outside 2 or 3 times normal and pay attention if they indicate they need to go out.

If all isn't squared away in 24 - 36 hours call your Vet or an ER Vet for advice.
