Is it harder to join the army or the marines?
It's harder to join the Marines. They have much higher standards than the Army.
well it depends on if you want to be worked harder..if you join the Marines they have a very tough boot camp that will stretch you to your limits..the Army does still have a hard boot camp but they are not a rigorous as the Marines
it really doesnt matter you get pretty much the same opportinities its just the marine is much harder. I am a marine infantry and the army training is nothing compared the what we do
Yes it is way harder and you have very mean drill instructors
No. You can join the Marine Corps when your enlistment is up with the Army.
it would make it alot harder to get in the marines but yes it could be possible
im not really sure it depends if you have the spinal fushion operation if you have this operation you cannot join the army or marines if your curvature is small and you pass the health check im pretty sure you can join as long as your scoliosis causes you no problems
The US Army has stepped up their training for the war in Afghan Are the Marines going to step up their training as well?
The Marines train harder than anyone. If they "stepped up" their training, Marines would die before getting to Afghanistan. Even though the Army may have stepped up their training, it's not even half of what the Marines do.
it is showing love 2 your country. like how people join the army Marines air force
Yes, women can join the marines.
Not an easy prospect. You can talk with your recruiter. Try to get Sniper school specified in your enlistment contract.
Children do not affect your ability to join the Marines.
The Marines are Marines. The Army has Army Special Forces AKA Green Berets.
The Marine Corps is totally separate from the Army. The Army is more laid back and the Marines is harder, but either way if you want to go to school to become an officer go to ROTC
17-40 years old are eligible to join the marines
Royal marines join full time and do 32 weeks training Royal marines reserve are like the territorial army, you still have a job (teacher, doctor) but you do one weekend a month training for 18 months and support the full time marines
Army by far. Marines are real men.
Always. And the Army often come in to help the Marines.
The Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy and nothing to do with the Army.
You have to be a US citizen to join the US marines i think its actually permanent resident
No. if you have asthma you cannot join the Marines, sorry
Individual Marines, or the Corps as a whole? The Marine Corps is extremely stingy with its medals. Things that in the Army will get you an Army Commendation Medal won't get you any medals at all in the Marines. The Marines also don't have a lot of the service ribbons the Army has.
Marines claim that ARMY means "Ain't Really Marines Yet".
YES SHE WAS IN EACH! no she wasn't in the navy army or marines! her son, Track, however, is in the army.
the marines because if u play cod4 the marines are skilled butt in mw2 the army is not well skilled
If you were disqualified medically from the marine corps but get qualified through the army can you still enlist in the marines?
No, each branch of the military has its own qualifications that you must meet. If you meet the Army's qualifications, you would join the army for your term of service.
It depends. The Marines were first into Kandahar. The Army was first into Baghdad.
The Army. The Marines typically fought in the South Pacific.
i have a adult school diploma, can i still join the marines corp with it?
You know a lot of prior service Marines join the Army but are there a lot of prior service Soldiers that join the Marines?
It does happen, but I don't think it happens as often as the reverse. When I was in MCT(Marine Combat Training) in '99, we had a former Army SSGT who came through with us, he was a Lance Corporal(E-3)at the time since the Marines don't really carry over rank, but he did gain Corporal by the time he left the 2.5 week course. otherwise, in 4 years I never came across any other former soldiers… Read More
The Royal Marines Commando are people who do battle using submarines on the sea. You can join the Royal Marines Commando through their website RoyalNavy dot com.
yes, if you find somebody atteding Anapolis, the United States Naval Academy, who wishes to be in the Army, you can switch with them after graduation and go into the Marines. there are many opprotunites to do so after you've been accepted to the Academy. Good luck!
If you stuck a squad of Marines and A squad of army soldiers, The marines would definatley win! Marine are trained to be right in the action, Army soldiers are more for support and backup. Marines are trained more harsh and cruel than a Army soldier.
yes you can join the marines with a diploma you got off the interenet as lomg as you have a highschool diploma the marines will take you in, as long as u meet the requirements.
you can only join the Royal marines if you have full British, Irish or Commonwealth citizenship. If you have got one of those you can join the RMC if you don't you can join the equally fine body of man that is the USMC.
The Marines are a part of the Navy, serve on ships, as boarding parties and advance force projection. The Marines often lead the way in amphibious landings. The Army has participated in major sea landings, as well. The Army is a much larger numerical force than Marines. The Marines are the oldest USA service.
Navy basic is held at the Great Lakes, Marines at Parris Island, Airforce is done at Lackland, Texas and the Army has several boot camps. Answer it depends which branch you join, i only know two the navy and marines. The navy goes to Illinois and the marines go to South Carolina (parris island)
yes!! you can join the marines if you are deaf in one ear,but since its a medical condition, you may need waivers
You can't join any service if you have HIV.
Yes they can, the're more likley to join the SBS (special boat service) but the SAS invite people in the navy, air force and marines to join the SAS
Anyone wishing to join a service has to complete basic training. In the case of Marines, they do not have to attend Navy, Army or Air Force boot camp. As a Sailor, if I ever lost my mind and wanted to join the Marine Corps, I would need to attend their boot camp. On the other hand, I could join the Army or AF with only an Indoc type class.
You can apply for the Royal Marines at 15 years and 9 months.
I'm a Marine, so, Marines.
Definitely marines! The few the proud...
The Marines are part of the US Department of the Navy
Sorry, but the answer is no.
The Marines are a component of the Department of the Navy, and the Army is a component of the Department of the Army. Also, the Army and Marine Corps have different force structures, missions, and cultural/heritage items.
The Army came first on June 14th, 1775. The Marines came later on November 10th.
Army is easier to join. Marines don't accept everyone. Both have tough training but the Marines are tougher on you. After you serve in the Army people are impressed but after you've been a Marine people are really impressed. Just something to think about. You should also think about what type of military career you want. If you are a good high school student or have a college degree, you can become an officer in… Read More
Does it really matter? If you are a female looking to join the marines then go for it.
