In general - if a vehicle came from the factory equipped with side-view mirrors they must be on the vehicle when it is being driven by the subsequent owner.

HOWEVER - there may be exceptions for certain vehicles (e.g.: antique autos - etc). You should check wiht TN DMV or law enforcement for your particular vehicle.
