No, it is not illegal to give homework during breaks because the teachers are just trying to help us make sure that we do not forget all the information we learned, When we get older, whether its college or a job, you will realize that you barely get any days off, let alone vacations. So just be happy that you get a free education unlike others and you have the chance to do something with your life, Homework is a lot of work but it is worth it and it is meant to help you learn and in a way it makes you become more responsible because you will learn how to manage your time well. It takes away time from your social life, but you can get the social life back after you become something, and at time you won't have any regrets and be able to have fun wit whatever you do with your social life. Try your best in school because your in charge of paving your own future, don't let it go to waste and if you really to try, everything you do at school and college will pay off at the end.

Homework is not evil. Despite what kids may think, homework actually helps you. Teachers assign homework to see who understands the topic given as work. If you are able to do it without problems it helps you study. If you need help with it, that is the time to make sure you have a full understanding.

But why is homework "evil"? It is because kids that have homework see it as taking away their time to do what they want to do. There is also the thought that it is given just to make their lives miserable or because the teacher "hates" them. The other reason homework is seen as evil could be because the person doing the homework doesn't understand it.

So if you don't understand it, go to parents or to that teacher before or after school AFTER you tried doing it. If a teacher sees that you tried to do it, they will be more than happy to help you. If there are one or two questions that don't make sense, you can always get on Yahoo Answers or WikiAnswers and ask the question you are having trouble with. There are people on the internet that would be willing to help.
