Added: In many (most?) states the right of 3-day recission only exists for services or products items sold to you in your home.
It USUALLY does NOT apply to contracts of sale for items purchased at the "point-of-sale" (i.e.: car dealerships - clothing sotres - appliance stores - etc).

∙ 15y agoIt depends on the contract, and in what state you live. The Federal Trade Commission does allow a 3-day rescission for certain types of transactions, and some states have similar laws. There is no across-the-board right to rescind.
