Depends on the squeak. Like humans, guinea pigs have different "tones" So there is the "feed me I'm starving"squeek, which is the most common. Then there is the fearful squeak which is kind of low and panicky sounding. Then there is the "growl" which a pig produces either when approached by an unfamiliar pig or if there is a noise (usually metallic) that they do not like
