my tounge was super swollen and some days be less swollen than others, i find if you eat more spicy foods it will swell abit more but that may just be me.....my tounge was swollen for about 2 weeks and i was super concerned but it healed fine and i have no problems with it now :)
Tongue piercings will swell for a minimum of two weeks, this is not unusual. Keep on the cold stuff and watch out for overly spicy food and food that are too hot temperature wise. Swish and swallow cold water after everything you eat or drink that leaves a residue on the tongue. Avoid dairy products for the first five or six days, these products can support bacterial growth so just be sure to rinse with cold water only after eating these products....
You will survive and end up with a good piercing if you look after it correctly.
It is not uncommon for the tongue to be slightly swollen a week after getting it pierced. However, if the swelling is severe, painful, or accompanied by other symptoms like fever or difficulty breathing, it is important to seek medical attention as it could be a sign of infection.
Typically, a tongue piercing may hurt more than a lip piercing, as the tongue is a sensitive and muscular area. However, pain perception can vary from person to person. Both piercings may cause discomfort during the procedure and while the area is healing.
Swelling after a tongue piercing usually peaks within 48 hours and can last up to a week, but may vary depending on individual healing. To reduce swelling, it's important to follow aftercare instructions provided by your piercer, such as rinsing with saline solution and avoiding triggering foods like spicy or hot liquids. If the swelling persists or worsens, consult a healthcare professional.
It is recommended to wait at least 4-6 weeks before changing your tongue ring to allow for proper healing and reduce the risk of infection. If you experience any pain, swelling, or discomfort during this time, it's best to consult with a professional piercer before making any changes.
It's recommended to wait at least 2-4 weeks before speaking normally after getting a tongue piercing. This allows time for the initial swelling and soreness to subside, reducing the risk of further irritation or complications. Additionally, maintaining good oral hygiene and following aftercare instructions will promote healing and minimize discomfort.
Swelling from a new tongue piercing typically peaks around 2-3 days after the procedure. It can take up to 2 weeks for the swelling to fully subside, depending on individual healing times and aftercare practices. Make sure to follow proper aftercare instructions provided by your piercer to help reduce swelling and promote healing.
I've had my tonuge pierced for bout 8 weeks .. its normal for your tongue to bleed but if its does go away with in another week or 2 weeks you should have it checked out
If you don't put a special jelly on it it will get infected and swell enormously
My nose hurt worse then my tongue. However, the first week of having your tongue pierced sucks!
Never worry, it's totally normal. Your ears are somewhat adapting to you piercing since the 'metal' or the earring is a foreign bypasser. If the swelling lasts more that a week, that's weird. (:
Depends but usually no more than a week
Naah, Your probably gonna die.. awk << WRONG!! << You swallow weird after a tongue piercing because it is swollen... I know because I have one of my own... it should take up to a month to heal if you don't move your tongue... Mine took a week for the swelling to go down but if it is swollen after a month then you weren't moving your tongue... If it helps you put crushed ice one your tongue and you will be okay...
by experience i did mine wrong and i pierced a vain all that happen was that my tongue got num for a week and there was alot of blood
i wouldn't clean a tongue piercing with peroxide. when you first get your tongue pierced you're suppose to clean it with antiseptic mouth wash and you are suppose to drink liquids for a whole week when you first get it pierced.
i got mine down in december. & you talk normal, it's just kinda hard to eat the first week but you manage. eat alot of ice.
Yes, it will be noticeably swollen for a few days after getting the piercing, and it shouldn't last more than say a week to a week and a half.
This is because of the jewelry resting on the top of the piercing. I got one with my belly button and my tongue. But the one on my belly button is gone now, and the one on my tongue is almost gone. I got my tongue and belly button pierced about two months ago.
anything really. But make sure its nothing that will irritate it and i can figure you should already know this
