I had cramping quite badly early on, but everything was fine. It got better later on, and now (I'm at 35 weeks) my stomach only bothers me when I have to use my abdominal muscles too quickly -- because my abs aren't used to all the weight, probably. Don't worry about it - if your OBGYN says you're okay, go with that.
