Cats need to sharpen and trim their nails. Using wood is one way they do that. You may also see your cat doing her sharpening on the carpet, or worse, the corners of your favorite couch. Any good pet store will have specially made scratching posts for your cat to enjoy. They are safer and healthier for your pet than wood. You don't know if the wood your cat has been using has been treated with pesticides, or chemicals. Better safe than sorry, and get her a good scratching post.
When a cat starts to eat vegetables, green plants, and even wood, it usually means that they have a hairball problem. It could be very slight, with only one hairball then over, but it could also lead to something serious. Plants that are green or contain bark help break up hairballs that are still forming and helps prevent more. If your cat eats grass, wood and such, I would let it. But be absolutely sure that the would is clean in the sense that there are no termites or other harmful beings. If your cat eats excessive wood, I'd schedule an appointment with Vet. If cat has excessive hairballs, I'd get some hairball chews and sold hairball grass. If it continues, bring it to the vet.
Cats prey on many bird species, and woodpeckers can fall prey to them.
no and if they ever did i bet they got sick
no, actually they think it is quite disgusting to eat they just scatch the bark on the tree's.
