Is it ok to take Wellbutrin Lexapro and Adderall together?

I was on that combination for over a year. It works well; however, I recently switched off of celexa because it stopped working. All that to say, it worked great for me until three months ago! Good luck!

It all depends on certain factors such as is it prescribed? how much of each you are taking? and most important are you tolerant to the medications. someone who isn't used to suboxone and xanax can have life threatening consequences if taken together or even by them selves. Ive been on suboxone for 2 years and wellbutrin for 2 months. i will take .5 mg of xanax here and there if i cant sleep. I am tolerant to the suboxone and have taken benzos i.e "xanax in the past. the combination of the 3 if not taken at the same time is fine if you have tolerance to the suboxone and the xanax. if your a noob and haven't taken these meds that much then never ever mix them it could kill you because both are respiratory depressants which will stop your breathing if the person is not used to the medications. Talk to your Dr. if you have one thats always the best advice.

I was first started on Wellbutrin (bupropion) to treat chronic, "treatment resistant" depression after trying many different anti-depressants, at differing dosage levels and

so forth. All were SSRI (seratonin re-uptake inhibitors) drugs and all failed to help

with my personal hell of depression. These drugs (SSRIs) also obliterated, ended my

sex drive, ability to perform, and even any desire for sexual pleasure. With a little

research I discovered that these SSRI anti-dpressants are also used as a type of

"chemical castration" to punish sex offenders by ending any sex drive they might

have ( ! ). That was too much and I gave up any hope of benefiting from these

medications (Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro, etc.).

During my research I also discovered that these SSRIs affected seratonin (a

major neurotransmitter in the brain thought to affect/control mood states):however,

seratonin is more involved in feelings of serenity and "peace of mind" rather than

improving one's inability to experience pleasure/happiness (anhedonia). NDRI medications

(norepinephrine and dopamine re-uptake inhibitors) are more involved in promoting and

increasing feelings and experiences of pleasure/happiness/energy.

I then switched to Wellbutrin (an NDRI) and improved to the extent that it really

surprised me I was experiencing such relief from the depression: and my ability/

enjoyment of sex completely returned.

However, after some time (3-4 months), I felt I would benefit from some other

augmentation to this treatment with the Wellbutrin...a more active, "robust" boost of some kind and requested the well known psycho-stimulant Adderall. My doctor agreed

and I began the combination of Wellbutrin and Adderall. My improvement was

astounding...I experienced such total relief/remission from the nightmare of the

depression.

The combined treatment of Wellbutin with the Adderall continues its effectiveness

(after 12-13 months). I experience no "crash" or drug-craving for the Adderall, am

able to sleep well (even better than before this new treatment) and am able to

control an out-of-control appetite that had caused me to gain 50-60 extra pounds

I didn't need. Believe it or not, my sex also has never been better.

I hope this rather long reply helps any one struggling with depression and its

horrible effects on one's life.

Yeah you can. I have both of those prescribed to me by my psychiatrist and she says it's fine.
