No, generally not.
If you get a little bit of water on a mood ring and then dry it off it should be fine, but wearing a mood ring in a pool or shower or letting it go through the washer can ruin it. Usually mood rings survive treatment like this once, losing only a little bit of color, but after a second time they're often done for. Water-damaged mood rings become a lighter murky brown color and stop changing color.
no one time i got my mood ring wet it did not become black but i became very dark and never changed colors
to tell if it's broken just look at the color if it's black all the time it probemly has water damage remember that a mood ring is not suppose to get wet a lot

A mood ring is a ring that if we wear it the colour of the ring changes. Each colour means a different mood. but it does not actually work.It changes its colour with the hepl of the temperature.Try putting the mood ring in the referigerator for a while and see.Dont ever put the ring in water

Considering mood rings are heat responsive they would most likely give an inaccurate reading to what the designer intended. The heat of your finger would most likely be overpowered by that of the surrounding water. If your wondering how durable the ring is then it would really depend on the material the ring is made of of. Chances are the ring is okay to wear in the water but it won't give an accurate response/reading to the ring bearer (that is if you even consider that your body temperature truly displays your mood).
