When a person endures sudden shock or extreme stress, the adrenal glands release adrenaline. That provides an extra boost of energy and chemicals that temporarily mask physical pain. This enables the "fight or flight" reflex so a person under attack will be essentially turbo-charged for a short period of time. Usually, releases of adrenaline are short-term; the threat passes, and the person calms down and things return to normal.
The problem is that grief, such as that caused by the loss of a loved one, can result in a prolonged release of adrenaline, which causes damage to the heart. Many doctors and scientists now think that this prolonged release of adrenaline and the damage to the heart is causes can lead to heart failure, especially in older persons, who are then said to have "died of a broken heart."
Probably not. If you're sick and/or old it might be possible for you to give up your will to live due to a broken heart, but I don't think you'll actually die. You'll survive this
Regardless of what you believe, check out Psalm 34:18, and hopefully it will comfort you.
When you've been hurt badly, it's normal to feel as if the world has ended. This is called "grief" and is felt any time you've had a really tough blow -- from something horrible like someone dying all the way to a friend betraying you. Everyone feels this emotion during these times, so your feelings are right where they should be. You're going to be miserable for awhile until your heart can heal from the blow. Try to hang in there and wait for this to happen -- and it will, everyone can assure you that it just takes time. This doesn't really help right now, though, does it?
Here are some things that can help you to feel better now:
Yes, you're always going to have this sad memory, but one day it will be just a memory and it won't hurt so much! I promise.
Time helps
Or just take some time apart, maybe you to can get back together.
ANSWER:
Yes there is but accepting the pain that was given to you, by moving on and be more acceptable on the reality of life. Last but not the least, Time will help you ease up the pain each day..
No, but unprocessed grief can lead to severe depression, which can in turn lead to suicide or degraded health. The best way to overcome grief is to embrace it, let the emotions flow, and work through it. Contact your local hospice organization for guidance.
