Yes, but it depends on how mature the relationship is, and the individuals. For example...if the relationship was based off of looks and sexuality...then most likely not. You have to look at things such as grades, success, willingness to succeed. You also have to realize that at times, you may have to separate from each other. For example, I know a couple who is married now. They were high school sweethearts. They did not necessarily leave each other, but they went to separate colleges so they could get their respective degrees, and make sure that their life together afterwards would be successful. The relationship was always clean. They were married after the first of them finished college. They lost their virginity to each other only after they were married...which is the traditional, and sensible thing to do. They now live in a beautiful house over-looking the beach in Laguna Niguel, California. They have two wonderful children. The husband treats cancer patients, and the wife is now a stay-at-home mom so she can take care of the children since they are only toddlers. This is a success story of a high school boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. They were mature, and honest the whole way through. They held themselves to high standards, and never did anything to jeopardize the relationship. No drinking, drugs, other women/men, cursing, sex, or arguing. All these things helped in making the relationship live...by keeping it wholesome. This prevented topics from getting boring, unlike how many today always talking about drinking or sex...drugs...which is the vast majority of teenage relationships these days. You have to ask yourself, is your relationship mature?
