The Eee PC should have come with a CD to reinstall Linux. If you do not have this disc, then the only way you could install the version of Linux that was on the Eee (Xandros) would be if you had an image of the hard drive before you formatted it.
Note that there are other Linux distros customized for the Eee PC that are available free of charge if you want to try another Linux distro.
look in your users manual
You will not able to update your ASUS software automatically and you will have to do that manually.

I have an asus eee pc and upgraded the os and browser in about 5 mins. I used the console. Search on google "Install advanced desktop on Asus eee pc". Hope this helps :)
Asus deliver Windows based PC's both with and without CD/DVD-Drive.
Android is a Linux OS
Any USB CD / DVD drive can easily be installed; just plug it into one of the USB ports on the Eee PC. Both Windows XP and Linux should be able to see it; and you can boot from it in the BIOS.
Yes it has.

It would really depend on the machine you are using. If it has an x86-compatible processor, probably. Otherwise, no. The ASUS Eee PC would be an example of a device that often comes with Linux, but can run Windows as well. A cell phone or PDA would be an example of a device that this would probably not be possible for.
Go for Asus website, then you can find drivers
