I have not seen the phrase used in a wedding invitation, but in newspaper wedding announcements and in wedding programs (church bulletins).

Usually with a wedding invitation the bride and groom will also send out an attached RSVP card and envelope where you elect 'attending' or 'regrets'. Your answer is usually required at least 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. Some couples may attach a contact number or email as a way to get in touch but we recommend a phone call or RSVP card sent in the mail as a formal way to confirm your attendance.
Traditionally, Bride Elect is used to denote property. The man has chosen to own this woman.
As with other invitations, you reply to a Christening invitation in the same mode that it was delivered to you. For example, if you received a Christening invitation in the mail, then you would reply by mail, usually by returning the response card that was included with the invitation. If the invitation was extended to you through a telephone call, then you would likewise reply with your acceptance or regrets via a phone call. An exception to this rule is if the host instructs you to reply via a different mode. For instance, if you were mailed an invitation that requests you to RSVP by replying to an email address or phone number, then it would be acceptable to reply by email or phone rather than by mailing back a reply.
There is no one particular reason for why a bride may choose to wear a beige colored shoe on her wedding day. Some brides may elect to do so because they are unable to find white colored shoes that they like or because a beige shoe just goes better with their outfit.
In traditional "christian" weddings the Groom begins the wedding at the front of the room/church. However the groom can elect to be walked in by a mother/grandmother etc. Although some cultural proceedings will involve other rituals.
Many commentators think the "elect lady" and her "children" are a sort of code name for the church, which is the Bride of Christ. Other commentators think John was literally writing to a Christian lady and her family.
President "elect" or Senator "elect" I believe is the proper title for an elected individual who has yet to take th oath of office.
A henna night, also known as a Mehndi night, is a pre-wedding ceremony in many South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures. During this event, the bride's hands and feet are adorned with intricate henna designs. It is a celebratory occasion where family and friends gather to apply henna, sing and dance, and participate in various rituals.
Matthew 22:10 speaks of a 'wedding' and the IDEA is expressed at : John 2:1 which talks about the 'marriage feast' , otherwise known as a wedding(Matthew 22:1-10)(Matthew 25:10-12)(Luke 12:36)Additional Answer:As weddings equate to marriage, the most important Marriage is mentioned at the end of the 'Reign of Man' in Revelations 19:10. Here the 'elect' or 1st fruits of God throughout human history will be 'married' to our Lord.In the hierarchy of the Coming Kingdom of God, the Father is the utmost, the Son is next, the bride of Christ is next, and all other humans become the children of God in the God Family.
