Not necessarily. Often, we all just have our personal preferences. However, it can stem from racism, depending on the context.
And whites are apparently not the only ones who feel this way. For instance, considering the number of black men with white women, it is apparent that there are black guys who find black women unattractive too.

i don't know i think its because there are more white people in the UK than black people or that white people were the first to live in the UK. it should be though if it is racist to call people blacks

Everyone on Answers.com or even throughout the world does not assume white people in general are racist towards all black people.One may run into questions asking generalized statements but that does not represent the whole of a community no more than questions asking why black people are animals or why Jewish people are greedy.That there are racist people who ask these questions does not mean everyone agrees with them and to think so is only another form of generalization.

I don't think it is as OK as you think, however anti-racist people have many friends that are racist so sometimes rather than argue / fight with friends they keep their anti-racist opinions to themselves. I think you may find that there are also a lot of anti-racist people out there, but unfortunately the racist "voice" seems to be the loudest.
