Previously, it was thought that urine was sterile when expelled from the body, and only got contaminated with germs after a couple of minutes. Now we know that it is, in fact full of germs, some of which can be harmful right from the time it is expelled. On top of that, there is probably a reason your body expelled it in the first place, so you really shouldn't be drinking your urine unless it is filtered and/or distilled. Filtered urine is really just yellow saltwater.

You should only drink urine in a survival situation where it is life-or-death. One situation is being stranded at sea with no fresh water.

No humans would not get sick from drinking their own urine. my little brother did it when he was one and he didnt get sick.

Actually, it is entirely possible to get sick from drinking urine (yours or others). Urine contains waste products from the body which are being purposely excreted, and re-introducing them is unhealthy.

However, consuming small amounts is generally very unlikely to cause problems. In fact, in certain cases where lack of water is of a life-threatening concern, consumption of urine can help keep one hydrated. Overall, though, urine is a body WASTE, and is not beneficial in any way.
