What are two components are created when you back up a system using the Automated System Recovery process?
Microsoft recommends that you regularly create Automated System Recovery (ASR) sets as part of an overall plan for system recovery so that you are prepared if the system fails. ASR should be a last resort for system recovery. Use ASR only after you have exhausted other options. For example, you should first try Safe Mode Boot and Last Known Good. ASR is a two-part system; it includes ASR backup and ASR restore. The ASR Wizard, located in Backup, does the backup portion. The wizard backs up the system state, system services, and all the disks that are associated with the operating system components. ASR also creates a file that contains information about the backup, the disk configurations (including basic and dynamic volumes), and how to perform a restore. The ASR backup process creates two items: 1)A full backup of the dirve on which Windows is installed and 2) An ASR floppy disk on which information that will help Windows use Automated System Recovery is stored. The ASR backup process creates two items: a full backup of the drive on which Windows is installed and an ASR floppy disk on which information that will help Windows use Automated System Recovery is stored.

What is the asr switch on your VW transporter?
The asr button stands for Anti Spin Regulation and uses the abs system to assist pulling away on slipery surfaces by putting the brake on of the wheel that is slipping hence all the drive goes to the wheel with grip.it also limits engine revs. By pressing the asr button you can turn this function off, giving the driver full control of the amount of wheel spin, and full throttle. Some trucks use this system and drivers use the asr button to disable the asr when pulling away on a a hill where they need to gain momentum with higher engine revs

What if your asr light comes on and the car boggs down 1993 e400 mercedes?
ASR is like just as the same as traction control on American cars, if one of the wheels lose traction on the road and spin more than the others the ASR will engage and electronically apply the brakes on that wheel, if it happens on 2 wheels it will apply the brakes to both wheels and slow the engine down.

What is a ASR light in a Mercedes Benz?
ASR is a TRACTION (not Stability) control system. A Yellow triangle will flash on the dashboard in the speedometre when the system is limiting wheelspin and will stay illuminated when the system is turned OFF or has a malfunction. Acceleration Slip Regulation... (depending on model year you can completely disable it. Known as ESP, Electronic Stability Control on later models). With the switch light on (not triangle in dash) it will partially disable it up to 25 mph. Normal operation is <25 mph brakes automatically apply with wheel spin. Over 25> the EA (electronic accelerator) control will automatically reduce engine output. The triangle light in dash comes one when system is activated due to tire slippage.
