i took an Advil for a headache i just want to know if it will cause me to miscarry
Advil is not safe to take during pregnancy but it should not cause you to miscarry after just one dose but don't take it again. Read the label on all medications before taking during pregnancy. If there are any doubts do not take it! Your doctor can prescribe something safe for you to take for your headaches (generally these are acetaminophen based drugs). If your headaches are severe and you can't get into the doctor go to the emergency room; they can help you.
I would say that it's reasonably ok but Tylenol or Acetaminophen is the only one "approved". Remember to always check with your dr before taking any medications while pregnant.
That is another name for paracetamol. It is considered as safe drug in pregnancy.

Oxycontin, also known as oxycodone, is generally safe to take while pregnant for short periods and at low doses. There is no evidence of risk to the child or mother under these conditions. However, if you take oxycodone regularly and become pregnant, make sure to check with your doctor.
