Wikipedia is based on contributions from the public. Some sections are better controlled than others, but be sure to confirm information by checking the reference list and other sources. Writing "Wikipedia" as a reference when producing school papers or anything remotely scientific is generally not very well accepted.
Wikipedia does not have accurate information. I have seen errors in Wikipedia. I also find that now a days teenagers and young people believe what they read on the internet, and they doubt what older people tell them. I notice if you tell a young person that something occurred they will look it up on the internet and actually believe what they find on the internet to be true. There are many people who are allowed to go on websites and write whatever they want. They can fool you with false information. Older people were around before young people were even born we know what happened. So we know that the internet has false information in it.
Yes. Studies show that over 60% of the time, Wikipedia is actually false. But, some things are true. A little under 40% is true. But that is less than half. So, Wikipedia is actually mostly false. But some things are true. The thing is that someone could play around and paste things on the page that may be false. So that's the reason that Wikipedia is mostly false information. people like to play around with it.
Hi, Since Wikipedia is uploaded and updated by anybody, the information is not necessarily correct. However, this doesn't mean that it is always wrong. I suggest using Wikipedia to find the base information for your question, but then using another website additionally to check it. But, other websites can also be changed by the public, so be careful. I hope this helps you!!
Someone can go on and change the information at whim, thus logically proving that, no, Wikipedia is not trustworthy.
Wikipedia is pretty reliable but remember the information on there can be edited by almost anyone. Do not relay on it for 100% accurate information.
well coming from some people it might be wrong so you might have to look into what the person that told you the answer had said because they might just want to mess with you....
anyone can put information in wikipedia, but information on wikipedia is mostly true unless it was just entered and no one has edited it yet
No,It Doesnt the guy who made t went to my school
i was told wikepediatelss lies in yr 5 and didnt even know from the rest of my years of learning
Information on wikipedia can be provided by anyone, thus there is a possibility that the information is 'fake' and untruthful. There are editors that check wikipedia to ensure information provided is correct, however there is still the possibility that it isn't. Thus, I recommend that if you are gathering any information from wikipedia, then you should check in books or other websites to validate it (check if it is 'fake' or not).Read more: Do_they_put_fake_information_in_wikipedia
Well, first of all the truth is easier to remember than a lie. Second of all you shouldn't tell a lie unless it's absolutely necessary, but most people tell three lies for every 5 to 10 conversation they have.
You can donate to the wikipedia foundation on their website.
They are all the wiki projects, e.g. Wikibooks, Wiktionary, Wikiquote, and even Wikipedia
