They grow singly.When boys give roses to their girlfriend,the flower is singly and it can still stay alive.If it is grown in clusters,the plucked flower will die.

This is not strictly true. Most roses will grow in clusters if left to nature. Single stem roses are produced by disbudding by the grower.

Yes they can. When you think of a rose, you most likely think of the hybrid tea rose sitting alone at the top of its stem. There are also floribundas which have many small roses in clusters on a stem. There are also grandifloras which have larger, but fewer flowers in a cluster than floribundas.

Some varieties are capable of growing multiple heads from the same stalk. Also, depending on the conditions in which the seeds were planted and germinated, there can be several unique plants close together.
