NO! The driving age shouldn't be lowered at all, if anything it should be highered!
They do not object to a lower drinking age, but neither do they support lowering the MLDA.
They are not lowering the drinking age to 18. The minimum purchase and drinking age is a state law. Each individual U.S. state establishes by law the minimum age at which an individual may purchase alcoholic beverages. The U.S. Government passed the National Minimum Drinking Age Act on July 17, 1984. This did not change the drinking age. However, it forced the individual states to establish the minimum drinking age as 21 or lose 10% of their federal highway funding. The minimum drinking age is 21 in all 50 U.S. states.
Lowering the drinking age would mean more people paying for alcohol. Because all alcohol is taxed, more people paying for it means more taxation revenue.
By lowering the drinking age to 18 and pretending like alcohol is a horrible thing and should not be touched.
i think that it should be lowered because i mean ima guida c'mon
Yes, because it increases the available customer base.
drinking age is not good for your health.
When I was eighteen, I thought it should be lowered. Now I believe it should be raised to twenty-five!
Probrably not in my opinion, But the Government in not so many words are considering making the drinking age 21 because most people go out a lot when there 18 to get drunk. Personaly i think it would make no differance what so ever to lower or rank the drinking age, because at 21 people could still go out to get drunk and cause problems.
Some topics to discuss or have arguments about for 7th grade students might include the topic of cellphone use in cars, texting while driving, lowering the driving age, lowering the drinking age, and even whether or not students should have lockers in school. Another good topic might include the death penalty for crime.
Well, that is not lowering the age, it is increasing the age.
