Marquette Bank was created in 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was named after the Marquette Avenue on which it was located. The bank shares were later sold to First Bank (now US Bank) in 1993.
Joliet thought Marquette lacked tact and cleanliness. In the canoe, he often sat as far away from Marquette, as possible.
