Methamphetamine is more of a mental addiction than a physical one. Meth withdrawals are less intense, however the reason people have problems with this drug is because of the major depression that follows after use. This is because of the neurotransmitters in the brain causing a major chemical imbalance. It's to relieve oneself of this pain that causes people to be addicted.
In summary, no it's not the most addicting drug, but it is one of the most dangerous drugs. Opiates are also bad. Nobody sees a heroin addict using for 30 years. There's a reason.
