Yes, I would say that eight weeks is a bit too young to start breeding your guinea pig. I would suggest waiting until your guinea pig is about four months old to start the breeding process. Otherwise, if you start breeding your guinea pig too early, there are multiple complications that could arrise that might affect the health of the mother of fetus(s).
no i don't really know but it should breed
No. It is now an adult.
yes, a guinea pig can breed by then.
one year...
yes this should be ok....never breed a gp over one year that hasn't birthed before as the hip joints fuse.
A healthy guinea pig should have no problem going through labor. If your guinea pig dies during labor, it could be due to pregnancy toxemia or the guinea pig's hips could have fused (this can happen if you wait to breed your guinea pig until it is over a year old. If you want to breed your guinea pig, you should always make sure that they have their first litter before they turn one year. If you wait much longer, the hip bones will not be able widen to allow for birth.)
A guinea pig is a good one
yes, there are many breeds of guinea pigs.
You can't ... you must have a boy and a girl. So ... buy another, borrow one from a friend, rent one. Your choice.
you can either breed two mop guinea pigs (or get guinea pigs that have mop in their blood) or buy one
I'm not sure about males. For female guinea pigs, they should've given birth to the litter before they are one. Never breed your guinea pigs younger then about 5 months though, since it is cruel to breed your baby and make it have babies. Hope this is useful... Some good sites to check out are: Guinea Lynx Cavy Spirit
normally they are the same but if your looking for a cheep one it woud have to be a short haired mixed breed one
male g/pigs can breed as soon as they are 4 weeks old but its good to wait until they are 6-7weeks before starting. Same with females they can breed as soon as they are 5-6weeks old but again wait until they are 7-8weeks old before breeding with them.
All breeds are a good breed to buy for a pet, it is just a matter of which one you like the best.
If you want to breed rabbits, simply keep them together and watch for the signs of pregnancy in the females. They will breed when they are ready.
