Answer:

Depends which quart you are dealing with.

A litre is bigger than a US quart (1 L = 1.0567 US quarts) but smaller than an Imperial quart used in Britain and the British Commonwealth (1 L = 0.8799 Imperial quarts).

A US quart or 4 cups or 2 pints = 0.946352947 litre.

A Imperial quart = 1.13649278 litre.

The US liquid quart is slightly smaller than a liter. They are called "comparable measurements" in the same way that a meter is comparable to the yard for estimation purposes, although it is 10% longer.

A liter is about 1.06 US quarts, making a quart equal to .946 liter.

*Confusingly, there is also a measure called the dry quart which is 1/32 of a bushel, equal to 1.1 liters, and the UK Imperial quart, which is 1.136 liters.

Yes. 1 quart is almost equal to 1 litre.

In UK (imperial) quarts and US quarts, 1 qt = 1.1 L

In US (liquid) quarts, 1 qt = 0.9 L
