Megatron and Optimus are not brothers but he says "you Left me no choice brother" after Sam kills him because they used to rule Cybertron together.
auto bots and decepticons are brothers because it was peace until optimus beat megatron in a battle or something and megatron got mad so they started to fight
it doesnt say they r brothers but if u use context clues u can figure it out.

Megatron was found by Sentinel Prime in a cave somewhere with his origins unknown.
Sentinel is Optimus's father.
Sentinel clearly "adopted" (in a way) Megatron, and they are foster brothers.
Clearly Optimus didn't know this, or something similar, so either way they were tricked into being biological brothers, and that's why Optimus calls him that.
In other shows he is not his brother, his was a former friend, or met as enemies.
In either way, Megatron was an Autobot, betrayed them, and became a Decepticon.

Optimus Prime is either the descendant or just the successor of Sentinel Prime, and heir to a long line of Primes before him. The ancestor or predecessor of those Primes was one of the original seven (thirteen in other Transformers universes) Primes. The Fallen is another one of those seven Primes, who sided with Unicron and betrayed the others when he decided to use the Sun Harvester to destroy a start that supported life on the planet Earth.

∙ 9y agoOptimus was given the title Prime by Sentinel, originally Megatron was a Prime, he named himself Megatronus Prime after one of the original Primes, when Megatronus Prime became evil due to the influence of the Fallen he became known as Megatron, Megatron is not a brother to Optimus but the reason why they refer to each other as brothers is because they once had a great ''brotherly'' friendship

If you've seen any of the TF films you should know who the Autobots are. in the beginning of the TF universe, all Autobots and Decepticons were friends. until Megatrones(aka Megatron,named after one of the original Primes seen in the second movie aka the Fallen) and Orion Pax(aka Optimus Prime) were bf's. that's why in the first movie Optimus say"you leave me no chose BROTHER" its because they were best friends,and agreed on almost everything, almost. Megatron didnt like the laws on Cybertron and wanted to become a "Prime" so he could change it. just like in the supreme cort. but the Primes didnt agree with Megatron. thin they saw how passionate Optimus was. whitch won them over, so they made Orion pax a Prime. Megatron was outraged, all he wanted was things done the right way. (In his defense the Primes that were in-charge at the time were horrible. That's way Megatron wanted to change thing for the better) Megatron gathered transformers that agreed with him. they were none as the Decepticons. and anyone that didnt agree were called Autobots. and thin there was the war that Megatron started with new intentions, whitch was to destroy the Primes, all excepted Optimus Prime. so your question: who started the Autobots the Autobots came from Primes the "Creator" of the planet Cybertron. first came the Primes that were created as antibodys to destroy the harvester of death none as Unicron, then came the citizens of Cyertron called Cybertroyans (aka transformers), and then came the split of Autobots and Decepticons. Why does sentinel prime kill ironhide?
Sentinel Prime killed Ironhide because before the war in chicago. Ironhide and Megatron secretly fought and Ironhide shot Megatron in the face where he was injured. There was also a conflict in Transformers: Dark of the Moon the game where Ironhide shot Megatron and Megatron fell into a hole, Megatron later stated "He will pay for that"after he survived the fall in the hole. Later Megatron met Sentinel and told him to kill Ironhide and try to injure Bumble bee. In Transformers 3, Sentinel made a sorry face when pulling out his rust rifle after that he went for Bumble bee and try to shoot his spark as in the movie, each bullet that bumble bee dodge from Sentinel was either facing towards his head or his chess. During the battle between prime and Sentinel, Ratchet attacked Sentinel then went towards Bumble bee until Side Swipe interfared and cut Sentinel off and later went back to Ratchet. There is a possibility that if Ironhide was there, Optimus would have never lost his arm.
