Simply, NO I do not believe so.

If you want brief explanation you can read below:

1.Mechanism of action: Both benzodizepine and carbamazepine work in the neurons and can be used for the treatment of epilepsy, keeping in mind that there are different types of epilepsy. However, Carbamazepine is a drug that decrease neuron firing through inhibition of sodium channel were as benzo's acting through increasing GABA ,which is inhibitory neurotransmitter.

2- Medical uses:

Benzodiazepine: Anxiety, spasticity, status epilepticus, detoxification (mainly from alcohol), night terrors, sleep walking, in general anesthesia and more.

Carbamazepine: Trigeminal neuralgia, epilepsy.

in addition they do have different side effects and precautions you can read about more in the FDA if you would like so.

hope I was able to help :)

Oxcarbazepine is not a benzodiazepine. It is a carbamazepine analogue and is used as an oral anticonvulsant for the treatment of partial seizures.
