None of the above. When you are learning science early on in school, they teach you that their are 3 states of matter - when you get into higher levels of science, they begin teaching you that there are 4. Plasma is the fourth state of matter that gets widely ignored by science teachers until you are in college prep classes.
Plasma, which is another state of matter separate from a solid, liquid or gas, can be caused to change state (a physicalchange) if we cool it sufficiently. A plasma is a state of matter that occurs when sufficient energy is carried by the atoms involved. Thermal energy is so high that gas atoms have had electrons driven out of the orbitals about the atomic nuclei. By cooling the plasma, the atoms will "recapture" electrons and become a gas. Cool the gas more and it will condense to become a liquid. Further cooling will allow yet another change of state into a solid.
Plasma is not a solid, liquid, or a gas. It is its own matter!
According to wikipedia, plasma is a distinct state of matter. However, blood plasma is liquid.
The state of matter called plasma is an ionized, superheated gas.
Blood plasma's a liquid.
a liquid a liquid
It can become a Gas, not liquid
neither
solid, liquid, gas, plasma
Magma is not plasma since plasma is neither solid ,liquid or gas while magma is always solid when cool and liquid when hot.
solid< liquid< gas< plasma solids yield the slowest molecules while plasma's molecules zoom every which way.
Solid, liquid, gas, or plasma. A substance can occur in any one these states. All matter occurs in one of these 4 states. These are the 4 states of matter.
Solid, liquid, plasma, gas.
A solid can't transform directly into a plasma. A plasma is an ionized gas, usually at a very high temperature. A solid has to melt then be vaporized into a gas (or in a few cases, sublimate from solid to gas) before it can become a plasma.
it isn't a solid, liquid, nor a gas. IT IS PLASMA :P
solid, liquid, gas, plasma
Solid
Plasma
Wood is a solid.
Carbon is a solid most of the time, but can be made into a liquid, gas, or plasma.
Carbon is a solid most of the time, but can be made into a liquid, gas, or plasma.
Plasma.
Plasma is obtained by the ionization of the gas.
Sawdust is a solid.
At room temperature, it is solid.
